Welcome to yet another blogmas. Sorry I’m a bit late today. If you read on you’ll learn why.
Breakfast was same old same old again. You’re probably bored of seeing pink oatmeal by now, but it’s just that good, so it won’t be the last time.
Right after breakfast I went grocery shopping. Again. I got quite a bit, because I really want to avoid having to go to the bigger supermarkets the week before Christmas. It’s so crowded, it’s terrible. If I need need anything, which I hope not, I will have to get it at the Asian food shop, Turkish bakery or at the market. So here it is.
I got some cucumbers to snack on, a ton of avocados for my pasta, bread for the burgers, bread for my partners work lunches, a ton of peanut butter, a ton of vegan mayo, a bottle of curry sauce, some lemonade, oil, a head of cauliflower and a head of brocolli, more apples (because they’re cheap and they store well), and a ton of soymilk. In the front there’s something that wasn’t on my list, but I couldn’t resist: smoked garlic. Smoked garlic just tastes so lovely, it tastes stronger but less sharp somehow. And there’s no such thing as having to much garlic in your pantry right?
Then I cleaned the litterbox and vacuumed the house (well, downstairs). And I did some laundry.
Once that was done I had lunch.
Big surprise: avocado pasta. This was so much better with the smoked garlic, holy shit.
Somehow I got sick after this, though I can’t for the life of me think of anything that was bad. Maybe too much garlic? Maybe I’m allergic to smoked garlic? Who knows.
Even though I got it out my system rather quickly (I will spare you the details) it threw me off quite a bit. I felt week for a moment after that and sluggish for the rest of the day. I even took a nap in the middle of the afternoon. I can’t even remember the last time I slept during the day, it was probably when I had the flu as a child or something like that. So that was it for having a productive day. At least I got to do a lot in the morning.
By the time dinner came round I still didn’t have the energy to cook, so my partner made some veggie schnitzels for both of us and he ate that bread with it and I ate some apples with peanut butter after eating the schnitzels on their own.
I was supposed to go to the gym with my mom, but that was not going to happen with me feeling sick, so my partner and I decided to watch Pride for the umpteenth time. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of that film. I was still a bit out of it so I completely forgot about my blog and went to bed not long after the film. So I’m not going to write those tips, but I promise, I’ll get them to you as soon as possible.
