Thank you for joining me once again on the fourth day of this budget challenge. Sorry I’m a bit late. I was so exhausted yesterday I decided to write this morning.
Even though I woke up around 8 in the morning I stayed in bed until around 1 p.m. Both of us did actually. I didn’t have proper breakfast or lunch, because I simply didn’t have the energy to make it. Instead I had two bananas with peanut butter, which is the most calorie dense food I can make without hardly any effort at the moment. I had one of those after my pasta as well the other night, because I overcooked it so much I couldn’t eat enough of it.
I also had to get groceries for the potluck, or my cheat day as you may know it. I didn’t spend as much as I expected I would to be honest. However, I did also get a bunch of bananas, an avocado and a broccoli for the challenge, which leaves the budget at €14.74. The budget is getting tight, but I think I can manage not to buy anything until well after the weekend, which is very welcome with easter and the crowd it brings to the supermarket.
Other than that I didn’t do shit the entire day. My partner even did most of the work for dinner. Honestly, if I don’t make it through this challenge, it’s more likely to be from exhaustion than running out of food. And that’s after just 4 days, I can’t imagine what it’s like to be this conscious about the food you buy and prepare day in day out despite working incredibly long hours..
Anyway, this was dinner: baked fries (with salt, pepper and paprika) and veggies with ketchup and mustard. I had carrots, my partner had mushrooms.
So that was my very boring day yesterday. I’m feeling a bit better now, so let’s see what I can make of today. See you soon. Bye!
